Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7:30 amβ6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Cary is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. I did a walk-in to get my NC State Inspection done for my vehicle. I appreciate the staffβs flexibility in giving me the option to get it done within the hour though they were steadily booked. The earliest appointment wouldβve been about 3 hours later, but the front desk agent was keen enough to advise they could provide service much sooner if I was willing to wait. Professional service. Courteous team. Satisfying experience. Thank you! π«±πΎβπ«²π½

I am writing express my dissatisfaction for an incomplete diagnostic service on my vehicle. I brought my vehicle in specifically reported about a popping noise coming from the front end and paid $155 before tax for them to find out where the noise come from. Instead of a proper mechanical inspection, their technician simply pointed to a scratch on my tires wich is just took few minutes to notice the tires conditions and does not constitute a mechanical diagnostic. then said the noise could come from the tires and claiming a tire replacement would solve the issue. I paid the bill for $155 for the diagnosed. Which is that was not even a diagnosed when you just pointed at my tires. As the people who doesnβt know about the car I could easily tell that the noise doesnβt come from the tires. But On the same day I replaced the tires as suggested, but the front-end popping noise persisted. I returned to inform them that the noise was unchanged. I was assured I could bring the car back for a deeper diagnose at no additional charge, given that I had already paid for the initial diagnostic. After inspecting the vehicle a second time, your shop still failed to identify the source of the no

Very professional service with reasonable pricing! They inspected my timing belt and let me know it was still in great condition despite my car being 9 years old. Rather than charging me for an unnecessary repair, they saved me $1,300. It's rare to find this kind of honesty nowadays.

I can't recommend Bill at NC Complete Auto Care enough! It's hard to find an honest mechanic these days, but Bill is someone you can truly trust. He takes the time to explain what's going on with your vehicle, never tries to upsell unnecessary repairs, and always has your best interest in mind. His honesty, integrity, and quality of work keep me coming back. If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about his customers, Bill is the person to see. Highly recommend!

Service (Compressor replacement) was fast and inexpensive compared to many other mechanics. They also didnβt talk to me like I was stupid and didnβt try to sell me additional services, which is unfortunately extremely hard to come by as a female. The facility was clean, quiet, and spacious and is located in a nice, quiet area. Lastly, they are open on Saturdays which is AMAZING. I LOVE this place.
